Today it was
announced that Crossgate, the developers of SAP's SAP Information Interchange,
are going to be acquired by SAP. SAP had always been a significant investor
and supporter of Crossgate, and many of us thought this would be the natural
result of this relationship.
Here is the press release.
Here is an article from ZDnet on the acquisition.
For those of you
that may not know Crossgate, they build services that allow multiple trading
partners to exchange data even if partners have different technology
platforms. It is a managed services
EDI/B2B hub.
Crossgate manages
global e-invoicing for large companies around the world. They offer solutions for Mexico e-Invoicing,
Brazil e-Invoicing, Argentina and over 35 other countries.
This is very
interesting news indeed.
